ORHS Mission A center dedicated to advocacy for the care of cats and dogs in need of help through an approach that benefits and improves the community and lives of animals utilizing outreach, education and services accessible to all.
About the Board of Directors The Board of Directors of Oconee Regional Humane Society (ORHS) is made up of individuals with varying backgrounds and skillsets from all walks of life and have skills that the Board requires to fulfill its purpose. They share a vision and commitment to ORHS and the animals in our care.
The ORHS Board of Directors is a eleven-member board of volunteers who are integral in the strategic direction of the organization. Each Board member brings unique experience and talents to their position to ensure that ORHS is operating according to its vision statement and regulatory requirements.
The Board at ORHS is a working board. Each member is expected to contribute a significant amount of time, energy and passion to the organization. The Board meets formally once per month. Directors are expected to help with several of our fundraising activities held throughout the year. Each member also serves on a specific committee.
