It’s no secret that helping others can promote feelings of happiness, a sense of connection and community, and bring fun and fulfillment to your life. Volunteering has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and improve mood—can you imagine how amazing it would feel to use your talents and spare time to help cute puppies and kittens in need? ORHS needs animal lovers like you with a broad range of skills to help with everything from fundraising and special events, communications and publicity, caring for dogs and cats at the center, foster care, front office duties, adoption events and more. It doesn’t have to be a huge commitment—only give as much time as you’re able, whether that’s one hour a week or one hour a month. The dogs and cats of Greene and Putnam counties appreciate every little bit of help they can get! Visit our volunteer page, drop by the center, or give us a call at (706) 454-1508 to learn more.
