Say hello to Peter and Piper! These two cuties are litter-mates and about 16 weeks old. They came to ORHS from Putnam County Animal Control as part of a litter of five kittens. Our superstar foster Karen Sawinski and her husband have fostered all five of them, but the other three have already been adopted. The kitties came to us from Putnam County with very aggressive diarrhea, and their little bodies almost couldn't take it. Peter and Piper had it the worst, and for a few days we thought they weren't going to live through it. But thankfully, due to the amazing care provided by Karen and her husband, they pulled through! Now they are both healthy, very sweet and now very socialized kitties.
Peter was just born to be around people. He loves everyone and has never been shy. Piper, on the other hand, was the most standoffish of the whole litter, but so much better now! Her wonderful foster family has helped her to really come out of her shell. She is super energetic and loves to play--she could play all day if you let her! While she may not be as quick to warm up to you as her brother, once she knows and trusts you, she's putty in your hands.
Peter is the cuddly one. He likes to play but he has to take breaks to come sit in your lap and purr and be rubbed. Karen says he's one of the sweetest kitties they've ever met!
They get along so well together that we'd love to see them adopted as a pair. They also get along really well with the Sawinski family's two adult cats! Call ORHS at (706) 454-1508 to learn more about this dynamic duo.
